Do you have to take protein shakes to build muscle?
 
Why not just eat the foods that contains protein.....
 
We all know that your body does need protein to build muscle
 
I'd say to think of protein powder of the powder of eggs, chicken, fish and all the foods that contains protein but this time it's faster to digest.  So what if it digests faster?
Digesting it faster means that it helps with your post workout.  I don't think you'll complete your workouts with a full stomach yet complete it 100% correctly.
 
But keep in mind that protein powder is just a supplement and this can not replace anything it is important for you to get food in your stomach.  The shakes just helps with your posts and yes it does help to build muscle.
 
A shake may contain more protein that your regular protein foods. 
 
The benefits of protein shakes
Helps with weight loss
Increase of muscle mass
Increases your immune system
Helps with recovery of your muscle tissue after training
Decreases your cholesterol

And yes, you can't take protein shakes and sit down on the couch expecting your muscle to grow.  Strength training your muscles is what makes them grow.
 
So now go ahead and get your protein shake, workout and get healthy!
